Now it's all over, like a daydream, or a fever. What am I doing? I could be paying tribute, or ripping someone off. Maybe I'm just meeting old mates, talking random crap and listening to music. Let's get together and deteriorate.

On Monday afternoon, when it's all over, still, there's not a cloud in the sky; everyone I see seems to walk in slow motion, and it's not just because they're all old ladies. Cars actually cruise like they're in LA and not a stinky New Town. Is it the humidity that's blanketing sound and slowing everyone down? Or maybe Stevenage seems so slow and quiet to me today cuz in contrast I was in Hitchin all weekend, and there was a music festival in that small old market town. It's only got half a town centre because of one steep-ass hill, and major trains don't even stop there (which is all that puts its fat and apathetic neighbour Steve. on the map), but Hitchin's got the biggest free world music event in the country.
